Marden Hill were, along with Would Be Goods, Bad Dream Fancy Dress and The King Of Luxembourg, one of the mainstays of el records; an artifactual pop art group created to simulate the sensual sixties styles of Ennio Morricone, Sergio Leone, Piero Piccioni and Nico Fidenco.
