Someone from the "RIP IT UP" group wanted a copy of the MARINE GIRLS gig supporting ORANGE JUICE at the Lyceum back in 1983, so I loaded it. If anyone else wants it, it can be found here:
I only ever saw the three piece version of Alice & Jane Fox & Tracey Thorn. I don't know why they appealed so much to me .. Just very very charming. I have always loved that ploppy base line of "That Fink Jazz Me Blues Boy" & "Don't Come Back" always reminded me of the theme tune to 'Welcome Back Kotter' ... An American sitcom from the 1970's of which apart from the theme tune I can't remember a thing ... Apart from it had Joh Travolta in it.. Tracey went on to form EVERYTHING BUT THE GIRL with partner Ben Watt. Alice & Jane were joined by Lester Noel to form GRAB GRAB THE HADDOCK..
